// New York fucking City.//

New York City…. unbelievable.

I can’t even describe how I feel right now. It’s a mixture of sadness, satisfaction, and utter delight.

I’ve been to NYC before on a school trip, but that was completely touristy. This time, I was able to experience Manhattan for what it really is. I was able to meet great people, feast on famuz foods, travel the undergrounds and of course, get drunk at 2pm.

I had anticipated a great trip, but I was greeted with a weekend far beyond my expectations.

The first day, I was picked up by @gregasaurus and @whoispeterki. The best people you will ever meet <3 LOL We ended up going to breakfast with @everettt and then hittin’ up highline. A beautiful above the ground park/walkway redesigned from old train tracks.

Then we walked around to NYU, explored, and bought some alcohol for the party later that night.

While they went on their date, Michael and I got some ARTICHOKE’s PIZZA. SO FUCKING GOOD. The start of my food journey in NYC. Checkmarked.

Afterwards we all met up at NYU for a ThaiSA event and I met Charli, @marylanvi, @vtng, and @ohthatalex. I will never forget, Mary and Peter bursting into tears during the Thai Life insurance commercials. <3 omg. never. forget.

On to the party. Well…you all already saw the pics I’ve reblogged about the party. LOL not much to say except it was incredibly fun. Finally met @leeeyum, @denniscakes, and @thedilnguyen! Drunk bitches everywhere :)

Woke up the next day, packed up and went to meet up with my other Torontonian friends at @m2xu’s dorm! Guess what happened next? Morgan, @ibejangry, @tatertowninhabitant, @haiiicaro and I went to eat brunch at Exchange, where we were given a bottle of champagne for each entree we ordered. Not carded, we ended up with 6 bottles of champagne and drunk at 2pm in the afternoon.

Drunk shopping ensued and we grabbed some sandwiches for dinner before watching Phantom of the Opera. Post show, we went all touristy and shit and took some pictures at Times Square and the red steps! Tried to find a desert place like Serendipity but everything was packed. So we went back to Morgan’s. I ended up back at Greg’s watching Paranormal Activity 2 with the boys because it was Peter’s last night <—- one of the most depressing parts of the weekend. I missed you from then on!

Sunday! Went to eat the famous Shake Shack where I got a shackstaq and a Jeremy Lin mint shake LOL <3

Afterwards, we did some more exploring like Central Park, the glass Apple store, Columbus Circle, and Time Warner Centre. I brought my friends to the City Bakery for some hot chocolate and to meet the gaysian tumblr boys! HAHA. We all went to South Sea Port to take pictures, instagram the shit out of everything, and take in the scenery. Afterwards we met up with Dennis in K-town and saw a girl faux-modelling in the foodcourt. Awko Taco. Continued the party at Dennis’s for some drunken Pokemon Stadium and Scattegories. Yes, 3rd day in a row with alcohol. LOL. It was a damn good night. Also, Greg cleaned up poop for the first time. Awkzilla.

Met up for brunch with everyone once again Monday morning at Cafe Orlin and it was great. Had a Japadog afterwards and then did some more shopping! Took @ibejangry, @tatertowninhabitant, and @m2xu to NINJA, the restaurant in New York, where you go into a tunnel to get to your table and the waiters dress in ninja outfits with the goal of scaring you as many times as they can. Also, the food is sometimes interactive where you get to test “ninja skills” and watch flames arise and all that jazz. We had a bottle of Sake to celebrate! I hope you had a great birthday dinner, Ruby Jang! I love you girl <3

That night, had my last slice of Artichoke pizza with Morgan Ruby and Tomas, and then went over to Greg’s to spend my last night with the boys. To my surprise, we were presented with a cake to finalize the trip and it was so sweet.

I did not realize how attached I’d be to this trip and the people I met there. I certainly did not want to leave and was even tempted to just extend it. But I had other plans back home that I had to go through with. I loved every moment I had been in New York and I’m already determined to go back. I haven’t fulfilled the experience of Manhattan yet, but I’ll get there.

Until next time!
